I have previously talked about the beauty products I use religiously, which were recommended to me by my aesthetician, however, I found driving to her office in Subiaco every time I ran out was becoming too time consuming, so I have turned to Active Skin which stocks a huge range of brands such as Medik8 & SkinCeuticals. They also have some reasonably priced gift packs that I am considering buying for Christmas presents. I dance between being the best and worst gift giver on earth – some years I really have it together and others are clearly last minute purchases which fall flat. I find that keeping it simple works best and usable beauty products can be a hit with both men and women. The safest bet in my book when buying for other people is to think about what they need on a regular basis, I steer toward products that they wouldn’t usually purchase for themselves but would definitely use, like the gift pack below:
L’Occitane gift pack from Active Skin
- Eau De Toilette The perfume that comes with this pack is a fresh & florally summer scent which I have been splashing on of a morning, I prefer to dab on a little perfume and have a hint of fragrance rather than spraying half a bottle & drowning myself & the office in scent!
- Hand Cream x 2 My hands get extremely dry after I wash them – which I find really frustrating, so whenever I receive a gift like the two creams above, I always throw one into my bag and put the other into the car key bowl to take and leave in the car’s the centre console the next time I go out, that way I always have one within reach when I start to feel tightness on my hands.
- Bath Foam I rarely use bubble bath as I find the children’s stuff from the supermarket to be too drying for my skin, but will always add a dash of a good quality product to my water as an indulgence when I have some.
- Printed Zip Bag Even though I have dozens, I always find a need for little beauty bags, & love the artwork on this one – along with the provincial smells from the products the picture takes me straight back to the scented hills of Tuscany!
