I thought I’d get one last wedding post in before the X-mas / New Year break!
I have to give a big thank you to my brother, who was nice enough to offer his old EK Holden to be our bridal car. I loved the idea of using it as not only did it save us money but it added a sentimental touch – which to me, was an important aspect of our wedding. So he dug it out of the garage & polished it up for our big day, even putting a white ribbon on the front for us.
My dad & brother drove the car to the city on the day, with my nieces & nephew on the back seat – who were all dressed up in their wedding attire & apparently having a blast beeping & waving at people along West Coast Drive! – I can just picture them enjoying themselves & that’s what makes using the car all the more special.
The pink was a perfect hue & complimented my DIY flowers & table setting at The Trustee. Unfortunately, the area around the Bell Tower was still under construction for the new Elizabeth Quay on the day, so we had a few issues with getting to & from the ceremony, but we only had a couple of blocks to drive & it was well worth it to have such a beautiful location as the very spot we were married.
