I’ve been crushing on all of the amazing sunsets Perth has been dishing out lately. My insta feed is full of stunning colourful skies that people have been uploading & I’ve been having lots of fun capturing a few myself. My favourite cotton candy sunsets from the last few weeks are below.
For me, there is no better feeling in Perth than the Easter weekend, the temperature drops for the first time and gives a hint of the cozy winter waiting to come, so in celebration of this lovely holiday here is a kind of Easter Poem, well it’s a quarter poem the rest prose!
Golden sunlight streams in through holes
In the patches of dark clouds drifting by,
Giving them a halo look,
As if God himself were clawing at the edges,
Along with the cool wind
Light sparkles the rustling leaves in the park.
Sounds of families celebrating the long weekend drift in the air,
Through windows and blinds that had been kept shut
Repelling the heat all summer long,
Now finally open.
The house breaths
As a cool calmness swirls through it.
It’s not hot,
Its not cold.
Its just right.
This peaceful holiday ends each night
With a new painting etched on the skies.
Loved ones with chocolate high’s
Who’ve spent days indulging
Walk briskly underneath clouds which are bulging.
Feeling the new Autumn scent brushing
Upon pink faces flushing.
